2014 Masters Sleeper Picks

2014 MastersChoosing sleeper picks for the Masters comes down to what you need the pick for. If it is to play fantasy golf, then a Masters sleeper pick is needed to be a low cost salary cap roster spot that will make the cut and play all four rounds scoring you the most fantasy points. Our list of the top 2014 Masters sleepers focuses on some guys that are middle to lower priced options at most daily fantasy sites and may be worth picking for your fantasy golf lineup. In a field of golfers that will have Rory McIlroy, Dustin Johnson and Jimmy Walker – our underdogs won’t get much air time, but will be good bets to be longshots to win the Masters this year.

At the time of this writing we don’t know how a fantasy golf site like DraftKings.com will price these golfers - we assume they will fall somewhere in the middle of a stacked PGA Tour tournament. Join our newsletter (top right) to get our exclusive DraftKings 2014 Masters picks.

We are partners with DraftKings and receive compensation for new players joining through our links. This helps us to provide quality content to our followers.

Speaking of DraftKings...you have got to get in on the Masters Spring Classic fantasy contest they are running. The prize pool is $300,000 and with the Masters sleeper picks below you will have a great shot of cashing in.

Here is our list of Sleeper Picks for the 2014 Masters:

Need To Know GolfHideki MatsuyamaHideki Matsuyama – Matsuyama has played at Augusta twice and finished 54th and 27th. In 2014, he has played very well while battling injuries to his wrist. If he is healthy leading up to the Masters, Matsuyama will be a great pick and could be a great source of fantasy golf points.

Marc LeishmanMarc Leishman – Leishman finished tied for 4th last year at Augusta and at some golf betting sites we have seen him at 100-1 odds to win the Masters. He has had some great showings in 2014, so taking a shot with him as a low cost option may be worth it considering how well he played in 2013.

Graeme DaLaetGraham DeLaet – DeLaet has his first Masters invite and though we're not big fans of 1st time golfers at Augusta (see our Masters Fantasy Golf Strategies for that explanation), you can’t ignore a guy that at one point this year had 5 top 10 finishes in a row. If DeLaet can keep the awe factor down, he is a great sleeper pick for the 2014 Masters.

Jason DufnerJason Dufner – We like Jason Dufner – he plays steady unflappable golf and has shown that he can win against the best in the world. He has played at Augusta three times and has finished 20th, 24th, and 30th respectively. He is in the middle to upper pack of picks to win the Masters, but he should provide good value as a fantasy golf pick.

Keegan BradleyKeegan Bradley – Keegan was on our list of Masters sleeper picks last year and finished in 54th place. Not happy about that - but at least he made the cut. It wasn’t all bad, because he had an 82 on the Saturday, so if that was a normal round, Keegan would have been gold. Bradley has started 2014 a lot better than 2013 and this year he isn’t as too much of a Masters longshot, but the odds makers still have him around 50-1 – not bad odds for a guy like Bradley.
