2015 Masters Sleeper Picks

2015 Masters SleepersIf you are in a big 2015 Masters Fantasy Golf contest like the DraftKings Millionaire Maker, then picking one or two Masters sleeper picks is mandatory!

We are partners with DraftKings and receive compensation for new players joining through our links. This helps us to provide quality content to our followers.

All the favorites for The Masters will be pretty high priced at DraftKings (expect Rory McIlroy to be throug roster players that are between $4K - $6K if you are going to take some of the favorites to win the 2015 Masters.

Our list of underdog golfers are players going into the Masters that have the odds of winning set at 50-1 and higher. Odds change from week to week so always check current Masters Odds.

Keep in mind some of our Masters Fantasy Golf Strategies when choosing longshots:

  • The Masters is a Smaller Field – Unlike a typical tournament of 150 or so golfers, The Masters usually has a field sitting around 100 golfers – 50 of those are the World’s Top Ranked Golfers. This means that sleepers that are low cost options in many cases are still some of the top PGA players.
  • Course History is Key to Augusta – First timers at Augusta playing at the Masters are usually overwhelmed and flame out of the tourney early. Do your fantasy golf research - but sometimes an old veteran golfer is a better Masters Sleeper Pick than a hot shot that won a tournament earlier this year to get his Masters invitation.

List of 2015 Masters Longshots

DraftKings Millionaire MakerAngel CabreraAngel Cabrera – Just 2 years ago, Angel Cabrera finished 2nd at the Masters. Six years ago he won. He did miss the cut last year, but he will be a low cost at DraftKings and his experience at Augusta makes him a great fantasy golf sleeper pick to help you fill your lineup with other favorites to win the 2015 Masters. Cabrera won’t win in 2015…but if he makes the cut he will be worth the longshot pick.

Lee WestwoodLee Westwood – Although Westwood is on the downside of his career, he hasn’t finished worse than 11th at The Masters in five years. We don’t see him much because of his European Tour schedule, but this is a guy that knows Augusta. He should be a decent price at DraftKings and a guy to consider as a solid underdog pick.

Jim Furyk Jim Furyk – Calling Furyk a sleeper pick for the 2015 Masters is a bit misleading... He is still at the top of his game and has the talent to win in most tournaments he enters, but for the 2015 Masters he is in the middle of the pack with oddsmakers and will probably be only $8000 or so at DraftKings because of all the golfers that are favorites to win the 2015 Masters. Furyk can win the Masters and he will be an afterthought for most opponent's fantasy golf lineups.

Jamie DonaldsonJamie Donaldson – He’s ranked top 30 in the world. He finished in 14th at last year’s Masters. Yet you can bet on him with odds of over 100-1. European Tour players are a forgotten source of talent for big PGA Tour tournaments, but the top daily fantasy golf players will take a guy like Donaldson as their longshot pick to win and wait for the cash to roll in.

Brooks KoepkaBrooks Koepka – I HATE 1ST TIMERS AT AUGUSTA! But that being said, I like Koepka’s golf game. I don’t know how under the radar DraftKings will have him when they put out their salary cap numbers for the Millionaire Maker contest…but if he’s under $8000, he should be in at least half of your lineups.

Choosing the right Sleeper Picks for the Masters will be the difference between winning One Million Dollars and watching someone else walk away with the check. Regardless, you can't win if you don't play. Join the BIGGEST 2015 Masters Fantasy Golf Contest and cash in!
