Who will win the 2016 Masters Tournament?

Bubba WatsonBubba Watson – Winner in 2012 and 2014…2016 is the next number in the pattern. Watson is playing well so far in 2016 and will once again be a contender for his 3rd green jacket. Could he win? It wouldn’t shock us – but his game is a little off right now so he won’t be adding to his closet this year.

Rory McIlroyRory McIlroy – Rory winning the Masters is more a question of when will he win and not if he can win. We have picked him before to win (2015) and we were wrong. He had a strong showing at the WGC Dell Match Play but there is something in his game that is keeping him from dominating a field. Originally we were going to pick McIlroy to win the 2016 Masters Tournament (so if he does we won’t be shocked) but he just can’t seem to put together 4 solid rounds of golf right now and there’s too many good players that can.

Adam ScottAdam Scott – Already a Masters winner, Scott has taken on 2016 by storm with back to back wins at the Honda Classic and the Cadillac Championship. Worries were that Scott giving up the long putter would hurt his game but that’s a thing of the past. Adam Scott knows how to play Augusta and in the last 6 years his worst finish was a 38th placing.

Sergio GarciaSergio Garcia – At 36 Garcia is on the back nine of a solid career. He still has some golf ahead of him but he has slowed his PGA Tour schedule to play more on the European Tour. Garcia you would think at some point is due for a major and has always played Augusta well. Garcia won’t be mentioned as a guy that could win the 2016 Masters but he should be on your radar as a guy that could have 4 good rounds and has the game that could finally get him his long coveted major win.

Jordan SpiethJordan Spieth – In its long history, only 3 players have ever won The Masters back to back…Jordan Spieth will not be the 4th. Spieth had an amazing year last year and already has a win in 2016 but something is off in his game and he isn’t firing on all cylinders right now. Could Spieth win The Masters again? Of course he could – until a couple of weeks ago he was the number one ranked golfer in the world! Unfortunately for all you Jordan Spieth lovers out there he’s not going to win! Take him as an anchor for your fantasy golf lineup and be happy that he should still be a Top 10 finisher…but he’ll only be in Butler cabin to slip on the green jacket on to the shoulders of…

And...the winner of the 2016 Masters is…

Jason DayJason Day – Although he suffered some back issues during the WGC – Dell Match Play, he still knocked out Rory in a head to head match and won the tournament. He also took over the Number 1 Golf Ranking in the world that same week. Jason Day is just playing great golf right now and he has always played Augusta well. The other names on the list above could win but how do you not take the hottest golfer on the PGA Tour right now?

If you can pick the winner with the correct 2016 Masters Sleeper Picks you could be much richer!
