Besides the Masters, The Open has to be the most popular tournament of the year. The weather and Links type courses make this event a must see event and a must play fantasy golf event.
Because the course can wreak so much havoc on players many so called "Sleeper Picks" are in play every year and the British Open may provide the best DFS golf value more then any other tournament this year.
Here are our Top Open Sleeper picks for 2017:

Brandt Snedeker
Not a total long-shot pick but he gets forgotten often amongst fantasy golf players as a great value play that tends to spend a lot of time at the top of majors leaderboards. Snedeker is a good wind player and is always a threat to win at The Open.

Matt Kuchar
The Open has never been a solid event for Kuch so don’t expect him to win this week but he is playing good golf right now and his salary cap price makes him a solid mid-tier pick that is usually a cut making machine.

Francesco Molinari
Just like Kuchar, Molinari has a good record at this tournament albeit unspectacular. He should be a safe bet for making the cut and playing the weekend.

Bill Haas
At the US Open he finished tied for 5th which as great result for anyone who took a shot on him. He will be a low cost option at all fantasy golf sites so take him and hope for another Top Ten finish.

Russell Henley
Henley is for sure a longshot pick to even make the cut to be honest. He’s had an up and down 2017 PGA Tour season and an up and down career history at the Open. That being said, he has played well in both majors so far this year and I think he's rounding into form. High Risk, High Reward.

Brian Harman
The one pick I wish I didn’t talk myself out of was Brian Harman in the US Open. I had him on my lists and then a poor showing at the Memorial Tournament made me decide to take him out of any articles and any fantasy lineups. Huge Mistake as he finished tied for second and cost me a fortune. He will be my Top Longshot pick at The Open this time.
