We go from one of the most craziest spectacles of the golf season at the Waste Management to maybe the most scenic, the AT&T Pebble Beach Prom AM in California. It is a fan favorite because the pros team up with a selection of celebrities and athletes to create an almost sideshow event to the actual tournament itself. This is the tournament where you always see Bill Murray doing something stupid like throwing a fan into a sand trap but it is all in good fun.
The tournament takes place on 3 different courses - Spyglass Hill, Monterrey Peninsula Country Club and Pebble Beach. Monterrey is the easiest of the three, followed by Pebble Beach and Spyglass. None of them are particularly long but the greens on Pebble Beach are tiny and tough. Wind will play a factor as it normally does along the California coast so pay attention to when it will be gusting the hardest. Spyglass provides some protection from the wind as it is quite heavily tree-lined.

Here was last week's Waste Management top 4:
Top Tier Fantasy Picks

Jon Rahm
At this point there is no reason to fade Jon Rahm anymore. He's clearly arrived as one of the best players in golf maybe only behind Dustin Johnson now. So far this year he already has 1 win, 2 Top Tens and is 5 for 5 in cuts made. Last year he finished 5th at Pebble Beach, keep playing him until he hits a cold streak.

Jordan Spieth
Jordan disappointed many, many fantasy players last week by missing the cut, his first missed cut since May 2017. That may turn out to be a blessing this week as recency bias will come into play and I epect many to overlook Spieth this week and opt for someone like Jason Day instead. He's been great at Pebble Beach, 5 for 5 in cuts, 3 Top Tens and a win last year. I'm going right back to Jordan this week at a nice discount.
Best Value Pick For DFS

Pat Perez
If you want to go with an all average team this week with one star and a couple 2nd tier players Pat Perez should fit in nicely. He's made 6 straight cuts at Pebble Beach with an average finish of 39th. Last year, however, he finished 14th and has had 4 straight events of over 70 points on DraftKings.
Best Sony Open Course History Pick

Jason Day
It was between Day and Spieth for Course History pick this week and since we already got Spieth as a top pick Jason Day wins out. He is 8 for 8 in cuts made, has 4 Top Tens and finished 5th last year. He loves this event and has an average overall finish of 19th in 8 attempts, solid pick this week.

Fantasy Sleeper Pick

Kevin Streelman
Streelman has had back to back solid showings at the AT&T Pebble Beach event with a 14th place finish in 2017 and a 17th place in 2016. So far this year he has not missed a cut and has a sneaky 4 Top 25's. He's in the mid-tier priced range and if he gets you a top 15 this week and allows you load up on 2 studs you are smiling.
