What a wild weekend of golf we had at the Farmer's Insurance Open last week. Jason Day won in a two day playoff round over Alex Noren and on top of that it was the return of Tiger Woods who managed to make the cut for the first time since 2015. All that to prepare us for the craziest atmosphere in golf coming up at the 2018 Phoenix Open. It's time for the greatest show on grass with our best roster suggestions and picks for daily fantasy golf.

Top Tier Fantasy Picks

Jordan Speith
Speith is my top pick this week and I can see him knocking Hideki off his Phoenix Open throne and winning this tournament outright. He's played this event twice with a 9th place finish in 2017 and 7th place finish in 2015. The greens are pretty easy and this course sets up perfect for a ball striker like Jordan.

Alexander Noren
Noren had a long weekend competing in a playoff round on Monday vs Jason Day, ultimately finishing 2nd. He's in great form and while this course layout is not a perfect setup for his game I think his confidence is sky high and many people are going to fade him because of the playoff loss.
Best Value Pick For Daily Fantasy

Zach Johnson
I think Zach Johnson is really sneaky value across all DFS sites this week, especially giving his course history here. He's got 3 top 15's in a row and has made 6 out of 8 cuts in his career at the Stadium Course. On top of that he's off to a great start this year and is 11th in SG: Approach to Green, sign me up on the Johnson train this week but just don't expect a win. He's more of a top ten pick.
Best Waste Management Course History Pick

Hideki Matsuyama
There will not be an easier course history pick for the rest of 2018 season then Matsuyama at the Waste Managment Open. Let's recap his history at this course - Won, Won, 2nd and 4th. That's right back to back wins, a 2nd place finish and a 4th place finish - are you kidding me? He's on everyones radar, will be on top of most statistical models and fading him is just a pure shot in the dark that he has 1 bad year here.

Sleeper Picks

William McGirt
McGirt is one of those guys that comes out of nowhere for a top 5 finish at least a couple times during the season. I think it's once again time for a Willy McGirt showing at the Waste Management. He's 6 for 6 in cuts and has back to back 24th place finishes. He likes this course and is 16th in GIR so far, I think it's a good setup for him as a sleeper pick.
